The Mongolian-Japanese Medical Hospital under the Ministry of Health is dedicated to providing quality medical assistance and support, ensuring safety, and maintaining high standards in healthcare services. It aims to provide assistance in medical science at medical institutions, conduct medical training, serve as a center for medical education and research, and contribute to the development of medical and healthcare expertise in Mongolia. The Department of Pharmacy is working with the goal of continuously providing quality guaranteed, safe and effective drugs for medical care, providing clinical pharmaceutical care services, becoming a leader in training and research.

Activities: The pharmacy department carries out its activities in the following 5 areas:

  1. Hospital drug supply and distribution activities: We are working to ensure the safety of drugs by preparing and packing them in unit doses for inpatient treatment departments and outpatient care cabinets.

  2. Clinical pharmaceutical care services: In addition to being in charge of departments in each area, clinical pharmacists are being trained to provide highly professional services such as emergency intensive care, pediatric pharmaceutical care, geriatric pharmaceutical care, high-risk drug management, anticoagulants, and cancer pharmaceutical care.

  3. Drug information service: We have started working to provide information on the proper use of drugs for medical professionals and citizens, and to prevent risks caused by drugs.

  4. Training: We are cooperating in practical training of theoretical knowledge of the students of the School of Pharmacy of MNUMS, pre-graduation practice, graduate training, and post-graduation specialization training.

  5. Research and Analysis: Research is being conducted to organize evidence-based research into hospital drug supply, drug use, drug safety, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
